Mauro WolfeNEW YORK, April 5, 2013—Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) has honored alumnus Mauro M. Wolfe, a partner in the New York office of global law firm Duane Morris LLP, as an inductee of its Eberly College of Business and Information Technology Hall of Distinction. The prestigious award is given to IUP graduates who have attained a high level of success in their career and who are worthy of recognition for their accomplishments. Wolfe, a 1990 graduate of the university, and fellow honorees will be formally inducted at an April 17 ceremony at IUP's Kovalchick Center in Indiana, Pa.

A review committee consisting of students, faculty and members of the Business Advisory Council select honorees to be added to the Hall of Distinction annually. Wolfe is one of only 34 Hall of Distinction honorees since its inception in 1999, out of 25,000 alumni worldwide. Situated northeast of Pittsburgh, Indiana University of Pennsylvania is one of the commonwealth's largest universities by enrollment and has received numerous national accolades.

A former senior enforcement attorney for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Philadelphia District Office, and a former federal prosecutor for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of New Jersey, Wolfe's practice focuses on white-collar criminal defense; securities enforcement, including Foreign Corrupt Practices Act matters; and complex civil and administrative litigation. He has represented U.S. and foreign corporations, corporate executives, government officials and others in a broad range of white-collar criminal cases. Wolfe is a widely sought-out lecturer on white-collar crime, internal investigations, data security and privacy matters, as well as Foreign Corrupt Practices Act issues.

Wolfe is widely recognized as a leading white-collar defense attorney, having been cited as AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell in the areas of Criminal Law, White Collar Crime and Litigation. He is listed in the 2012 edition of New York Super Lawyers - Metro in the area of Criminal Defense: White Collar. In June 2009, he was elected to the highly selective and prestigious New York Council of Defense Lawyers, an organization comprising the most well-regarded white-collar practitioners in New York. He has been involved in several high-profile matters over his career, and has appeared in major news media. Wolfe was part of the legal team that represented Bernard and Ruth Madoff in 2009.

Wolfe is the chair of the Nominations Committee of LatinoJustice PRLDEF, one of the nation's leading Hispanic civil rights organizations. In 2007, he co-founded the Hispanic Lawyers Society of New York, one of the foremost Hispanic attorney leadership groups in America.

Wolfe is a 1996 graduate of Temple University Beasley School of Law.
