The Philadelphia's Children First Fund has named Sheldon M. Bonovitz, chairman emeritus of Duane Morris, as chairman of its board of directors.
Bonovitz, who was chairman and CEO of Duane Morris for 10 years, practices in the areas of federal income taxation and corporate law, with particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions.
The fund is an independent nonprofit established by the School District of Philadelphia in 2003. It improves and enhances academic performance by researching and obtaining private- and public-sector grants from foundations and different levels of government.
