Charlotte Drew advises technology and life sciences businesses on all aspects of employment law, including strategic hiring, non-compete and restrictive covenant matters, wage and hour law, worker classification, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), discrimination and harassment, leave programs, accommodations, and other personnel issues. She also has significant experience conducting internal investigations and helping businesses navigate employee disciplinary matters. Ms. Drew works with clients at all stages, from recently formed startups to public companies. She also has experience advising private equity and venture capital clients on employment-related matters, and advises on employment and restrictive covenant issues arising in corporate transactions. In her employment counseling practice, Ms. Drew serves as a pragmatic confidante to many clients, advising them on ever-changing aspects of employment law, and she provides thoughtful and business-forward advice.
Additionally, in her litigation practice, Ms. Drew represents employers in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and before administrative agencies against claims of discrimination, unlawful terminations, restrictive covenant violations, and employment contract matters.
Ms. Drew is also active in pro bono matters, including advising nonprofits on employment issues and representing individuals in immigration proceedings.
Prior to joining Duane Morris, Ms. Drew completed a two-year clerkship for the Hon. U.S.M.J. Judith Gail Dein in her capacity as magistrate judge assigned to the Puerto Rico bankruptcy restructuring and litigation.
Ms. Drew is a 2014 cum laude graduate of Boston University School of Law. There, Ms. Drew served as an editor of the Journal of International Law, and a teaching assistant for the International Business Transactions course. She also received M.A. in government, with a concentration in international law and global security, and B.A. in Government, History and French from Georgetown University.
