Hunter C. Blume is an associate in the firm's Business Reorganization and Financial Restructuring Practice Group, where she represents lenders, special servicers, and other participants in the commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) industry in matters involving borrower defaults and distressed commercial real estate. She counsels clients on loan workouts, modifications, forbearance arrangements, loan assumptions, and restructuring negotiations to protect collateral value and position troubled loans for resolution. When consensual solutions are not available, Hunter assists clients in pursuing enforcement remedies, including judicial and non-judicial foreclosures and the appointment of receivers.

In addition to her restructuring practice, Hunter handles commercial real estate transactions, including the acquisition and disposition of commercial properties, vacant land and mixed-use properties. She assists clients with documenting, negotiating and closing purchase and sale transactions.

Prior to joining Duane Morris, Hunter served as in-house counsel for an international architecture and design firm, where she negotiated and drafted architectural services agreements, advised on intellectual property issues, and provided legal support for large-scale commercial projects. She also practiced at Florida-based law firms, representing clients in sophisticated family law matters involving high-net-worth asset division, business valuations, and settlement negotiations.

Hunter earned her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she served as Online Editor of the Cardozo International & Comparative, Policy & Ethics Law Review and, as a clinical student, mediated cases in the New York State Supreme Court. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Emory University, where she was a member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology.
