Kevin P. Anderson assists clients in developing, protecting and capitalizing on their intellectual property. He has extensive experience in patent litigation, counseling and licensing; copyrights for technology and computer-related companies; and trademark/trade dress infringement. He regularly represents clients in the wireless communications industry and the computer industries, ranging from Fortune 100 companies to innovators and entrepreneurs. He also has experience litigating ANDA cases on the generic pharmaceutical side.

Immediately after law school, Mr. Anderson served as a judicial clerk for the Hon. William C. Bryson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mr. Anderson designed software and computer systems in Silicon Valley and Research Triangle Park for more than a decade.

Mr. Anderson is a 2000 graduate, with highest honors, of Duke University School of Law, where he was a member of the Law and Contemporary Problems Journal and elected to the Order of the Coif. He is also a magna cum laude graduate of Arizona State University (B.S., Computer Science).

  • Represented Fortune 25 telecommunications company for over fifteen years in numerous patent litigations involving different technology areas including: location determination technologies, wireless standards, femtocells, location-based applications, multimedia messaging platforms, ringtones, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology, DSL standards, and 802.11 (WiFi) standards.

  • Represented computer chipmaker on technologies including processor architectures, cache designs, graphics technology, software standards, trace/debug, and parallel processor technology.

  • Represented as lead counsel numerous companies in numerous Petitions for Inter Partes Review at the U.S. Patent and Trademark office in diverse technologies such as multimedia messaging, ringtones, graphic processors with parallel pipelines, processor memory access architectures, virtual memory architectures, cache coherency, femtocells and encryption.

  • Represented chip-maker in ITC 337 investigation involving computer chip techology related to parallel graphics pipelines.

  • Represented as lead counsel for computer chip-maker and consumer electronics manufacturers in ITC 337 investigations involving semiconductor manufacturing processes.

  • Represented LED manufacturer in ITC 337 investigations involving LED manufacturing technology.
