Ryan W. Brown is a Senior Associate in the Health Law Practice Group and serves as AI Champion for the Health Law Practice Group. He advises hospitals, health systems, pharmacies, physician groups, and other health care entities on complex regulatory, compliance, and reimbursement matters across the health care continuum. Mr. Brown has extensive experience with compliance program development and risk mitigation, privacy and data governance, provider enrollment and licensure, fraud and abuse counseling, reimbursement strategy, and administrative appeals.
Mr. Brown is recognized within the Firm for his work at the intersection of health care regulation, artificial intelligence, and data-driven technologies. He counsels health care and life sciences companies on the regulatory and compliance implications of AI-enabled clinical, operational, and revenue-cycle tools — including risk governance frameworks, algorithmic bias mitigation, privacy and security requirements, and alignment with evolving federal and state oversight initiatives. He also regularly advises pharmaceutical manufacturers on regulatory compliance, pricing and reimbursement matters, and operational risk, including issues implicating federal and state enforcement authorities.
Mr. Brown has significant experience advising clients on health care transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, changes of ownership, and complex operational restructurings. He represents clients before federal and state agencies in audits, investigations, and administrative proceedings.
Mr. Brown is a member of the Firm's Hiring Committee and a member of DM Pride, the Firm's LGBTQ affinity group. He received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he served as conventions editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review, and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Muhlenberg College.
