About the Program
The 2026 Consolidated Appropriations Act (the Act) and evolving Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulatory initiatives are reshaping the pharmacy landscape.
Join Duane Morris attorneys for a practical discussion of the latest CMS developments arising from the Act, with a particular focus on CMS's request for information (RFI) that seeks feedback from pharmacies to much more specifically define and then codify a pharmacy benefit manager’s legal obligation to offer "reasonable and relevant" terms in their provider agreements with pharmacies.
The CMS RFI process represents an historic development for pharmacies seeking protection in their relationships with pharmacy benefit managers including, but not limited to, base reimbursement rates, enhanced reimbursement based on pharmacy type and other factors, network access, protection from termination and unfair audits and investigations.
Our panel will discuss these key legal developments and strategies and how they are intended to provide additional safeguards for all pharmacy types, financially, clinically and operationally.
