When asked about the above statements regarding Athena, Gerald L. Maatman, Jr. of Duane Morris LLP, who represented Athena in Vaughan v. Athena Bitcoin Inc., which was unrelated to the Bitcoin Depot action, and included claims of undisclosed fees, said, "My client categorically denies those allegations of fraud, and Plaintiffs' counsel voluntarily dismissed the Vaughan case when confronted with the applicable facts."
