Umica A. Anderson-Howard

Umica Anderson-Howard manages the firm-wide Diversity and Inclusion @ Duane Morris program and works closely with Partner and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer Joseph K. West to co-chair the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. She is the first point of contact internally for attorneys and staff regarding the firm’s extensive diversity and inclusion work. Mrs. Anderson-Howard also co-manages Duane Morris’ firm-wide diversity budgeting processes and helps oversee diversity-related financial strategy. She assists with diversity data management and metrics tracking in support of various business functions including responses to requests for proposals, client requests, and relationships with external tracking initiatives. Ms. Anderson-Howard also coordinates the firm’s Annual Diversity Retreat and manages the Employee Resources Groups.

Additionally, Mrs. Anderson-Howard has served as Office Manager of the Duane Morris Houston, Austin, and Dallas offices. She has over 35 years of large law firm experience and working with top level management, promoting firm policies and procedures, overseeing employee relations, and building relationships with firm clients.

Mrs. Anderson-Howard is a member of the Association of Law Firm Diversity Professionals (ALFDP) and Association of Legal Administrators (ALA).
