Representative Matters

  • Represented Bainbridge Ltd., which held defaulted bonds issued by the Republic of Argentina, in its settlement with the government in return for $67 million. This is the culmination of the firm’s 14 years of representation against the nation. The case featured landmark court rulings in favor of the discovery and seizure of sovereign assets held outside the United States, including shares in a nationally-owned petroleum company.

  • Representation of bondholders in execution proceedings against Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, successfully obtaining attachment of equity shares to enforce judgment in excess of $150 million.

  • Represented the spouse of an incarcerated FTX executive in connection with an adversary proceeding filed against the executive; defended client against attempts to freeze assets and a motion to hold her in contempt.

  • Obtained vacatur of conviction in the Third Circuit and subsequent dismissal of indictment in the District of New Jersey on allegations of federal wire fraud and conspiracy based on government suppression of evidence.

  • Representing 50% owner of NY’s largest crane engineering company in heavily litigated action connected to shareholder agreement dispute and related dissolution action. 

  • Representing a defendant in a conspiracy to commit murder trial in the Superior Court of New Jersey Middlesex County. There was a seven day suppression hearing which resulted in the court granting the defense's motion for an adverse inference instruction due to the State's spoliation of electronic evidence.

  • Represented credit card acquiring bank in defamation action brought by terminated merchant.
